The town is situated on the eastern coast of the peninsula Vrmac, opposite to Dobrota, located in the Bay of Kotor, the most beautiful bay of South Adriatic. The town is located 5 km from the old town of Kotor which is under UNESCO protection. Old village of sea captains Kotor, the 1920 decision of the royal government declared a natural health resort. Sea water in the bay is classified in category I and II of purity. The mean annual air temperature in Prcanj is 15.2 ˚ C. The air flow over the Gulf affecting plant life and water, enriching the air ions, especially halogen and other chemical substances contained in sea water. Vapours essential substances mixed with vapours of seawater enrich the atmosphere with minerals and ions which has a positive effect on the respiratory system which is medically confirmed. We recommend that in addition to the daily activities on the beaches in the evening, take a little time and make the walk along the coast to Kotor, or the other way to Stoliv.
